      North Clear Creek / Central City Superfund Site,
              Gilpin County, Colorado


Project Description:

RMC Consultants, Inc. conducted a cultural resources investigation located in the North Clear Creek / Central City Superfund Site, Gilpin County.

Tasks conducted for the cultural resources evaluation included conducting a literature and records search to identify potential historic resources within the Superfund project areas and a reconnaissance survey of the resources in order to photograph and determine integrity of visible historic artifacts and features.

Tasks also included compiling and synthesizing research data and field data in order to identify additional work necessary at each resource for Section 106 compliance.

Additional tasks included conducting intensive pedestrian survey and resource documentation of sites within Phase I and II remedial action APEs, preparing full resource documentation and reports.
