Chris joined RMC in June 2004 as a GIS Specialist and Project Archaeologist for the Cultural Resources Division. Chris' responsibilities include cultural resource inventory and NRHP evaluation and geospatial technology.

Recently, Chris has been managing RMC's Baca Land Exchange project, which included a cultural resource inventory of more than 12,000 acres in the San Luis Valley.
|
|
The results of the inventory have provided a significant contribution to our understanding of Rio Grande Basin archaeology.
|
|
He is also in the process of developing a GIS application to facilitate future cultural resource inventories.
|
Previously, Chris worked at the Colorado Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation, Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, and Bryce Canyon National Park.
Chris has a B.A. in Sociology from the University of New Mexico and an M.A. in Anthropology from the University of Colorado at Denver. He has pursued continuing education in GIS at Metropolitan State College of Denver. Chris is a member of the Society for American Archaeology, Register of Professional Archaeologists, GIS Colorado, Colorado Archaeological Society, Arizona Archaeological and Historical Society, and is on the Executive Committee of the Colorado Council of Professional Archaeologists.
