Steve Dominguez, Ph.D.

Senior Archaeologist, Cultural Resources Division

Dr. Dominguez has extensive experience supervising and conducting archival research, inventory, excavation, analysis, management planning, and report preparation, including coordination and integration of interdisciplinary research, as well as grant proposal writing and teaching at the university level.

Steve joined RMC in February 2005 as a Senior Archaeologist for the Cultural Resources Division. Steve's responsibilities include inventory, testing, excavation, analysis, and reporting of archeological projects; reviews Environmental Assessments, writes and reviews scopes of work for archaeological projects, prepares schedules and budgets, and writes and reviews project reports.

Previously, Steve was an agricultural consultant for the Hopi Tribe Water Resource Program at the Oraibi Wash Delta, Hopi Reservation, Arizona. Steve taught Archaeological Method and Theory and directed teaching of archaeological laboratories at the University of Mexico.
Steve received his Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of New Mexico. He received his M.A. and B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Colorado. Steve holds the National Park Service Achievement Award (1989) and the Val B. Fisher Award (1983) for academic achievements.
